Mr Putin and Co appear to have tactics well under control. The Wests inference that he has no regard for losses in his troops is nothing but propaganda. Respect for his army is reciprocated by the loyalty shown by his troops. They are led by a clever articulate man who is backed by an equally professional War Cabinet. There are no weak members. Progress is slow, it has to be to avoid heavy losses. Whats the point of occupying more acreage than you can control. Ukraine is a massive country. Step by step they are succeeding. Arranging for Pro-Russian factions to oversee fresh occupied territory does not occur overnight. They have to cope with resistance from aggrieved parties. It's a massive job which takes time. Unlike the West who prefer years of sanctions followed by mass 'Carpet Bombing' and the reintroduction of outed former corrupt wealthy regimes. Let's hope that this attempted 'Regime Change Failure' signals a new era of 'Kick Back' from a Eurasian/BRICS based Assembly that is based on the full adherence to freshly amended International Laws.

A few added points-Neocon conmen(and women) in the West have planned NATOs entrance into Ukraine since the ‘90s with the goal of gaining direct access to Russia's $72 trillion of natural resources. Victoria Neuland's captured phone call in which she chooses the next leader of Ukraine in 2014 and the failed Maidan agreement of the same year along with the presence of John McCain, a noted neocon and failed U.S. Presidential candidate, cheering on the protestors in Kiev are key indicators of the Obama/Biden Presidency's support for the notion of war with Russia. Biden’s promise to destroy the Nord Stream II pipeline in Feb 2022 has hamstrung Europe’s energy needs into the foreseeable future. Add to that Trump’s onerous EU tariffs and demand that Europe pay for its own armaments and Europe is likely headed into a severe recession if not depression by 2028.

You’ve covered Europe’s conundrum well. Its leaders have supported the notion of war since this fiasco was lit on fire in 2014. The initial support across the EU by its leaders was best exemplified by Boris Johnson’s talking Zelenskyy out of pursuing a peace deal in 2022 and Johnson was an opponent of the EU with his Brexit support. But as things have gone poorly for Ukraine the vocal support for war has grown. In large part the European elected leaders have echoed the EU appointed leaders cheerleading for the notion of an expanded war , all the while watching the US under Trump undercut direct US support and involvement for both the war and EU censorship policies. These same leaders have watched their public support for the war crater. But their attachment to Ukraine has given themselves a political out-if they can conjure up a war they can draw the negative popular attention away from their failed economic policies and use fear of Russia as political tool to maintain power. It worked with Covid after all.
