Thanks for the heads up, will certainly give it a watch and I wish you a lot of success. Britain and Europe as a whole certainly needs a lot more realism.
Thanks Ian. I just watched, enjoyed it, and subscribed. I’m always interested in what Larry Johnson and other guests have to say, but if I could make a modest suggestion, I’d be interested in an episode with just you, Ian Puddick, and Commodore Jermy in a discussion of your thoughts on current events. It would be a way for we viewers to get to know you all in this early stage. Thanks!
All the best with your new podcast, looking forward to the first airing with the brilliant Larry Johnson. I hope he goes easy on you, he doesn’t particularly like the Brits.
Enjoyed that, and felt slightly guilty about enjoying it while people are being murdered by Israel.
Two things I took away:
1) I don't read Iran's reluctance to sign a strategic military deal with Russia the same as Larry. I don't feel it has anything to do with leaving doors open to the West. Rather that any such deal with Russia seems to be very geared in Russia's favour, so North Korea won the prize of getting loads of its soldiers killed in the Kursk meat grinder. Iran it seems didn't really fancy 'winning' it.
2) I would have liked to have seen Steve's 'prediction' that the Russia-Ukraine conflict will peter out – or however he put it (around 44:00) – as a direct consequence of the Iran-Israel conflict fleshed out a bit more. I kind of agree, and I would put it down to one word: momentum. I think momentum in a conflict is hugely important and once it is running it can be hard to put a stop to. Russia has thrown away momentum on occasion and it has proved very costly. For instance, they were outside Seversk three summers ago, kilometres away, and then they seemed to get out Larry's shirts and have a few barbecues and got pushed back, and it has taken them three years to get back to being the same few kilometres outside Seversk that they were in 2022.

One thing I would have liked to have seen discussed, but now won't be as the window for doing so is between tonight (per Ian P's mates in the MOD) and two weeks from now (per President Miriam Adelson), is an idea that nobody seems to be talking about, which is that the only people who can stop the USA bombing Iran is... the USA. Several Senators or Congressmen (or whatever their status is) are reported to have tabled legislation (in whichever House) demanding that US politicians get to have a vote on going to war with Iran. In which case surely what everyone on the planet wants to know is: what chance has this legislation got of succeeding and what chance has it got of actually being debated before President Miriam Adelson bombs Iran?
Look forward to this coalition of formidable experience.
Thank you

He doesn't like most Brits but seems okay with us - he's a good guy
Thank you, please, go on.

Would it be possible for your erudite team of gentlemen to respond to this kind of thing:

I find it appalling in its simplistic jingoism, fanatical in its one-eyed jaundice, and yet simultaneously dangerously popular in certain quarters.
